Expanding & Creating 35+ New Jobs in St. Louis

Authored by In The News on March 31, 2017

ST. LOUIS— Recently, Gov. Eric Greitens announced four business expansions across the state including TopOPPS, Inc. which is growing their startup in St. Louis City, with plans to create more than 35 new jobs.

"We are working hard every single day to get more jobs with higher pay for Missourians—and businesses and companies across our state are taking notice of the new direction we’re taking the state," said Gov. Eric Greitens. "More companies around Missouri have made plans to expand, and we know that every job they create is a life and a family’s life changed. SugarCreek Packing Co. plans to create 70 new jobs at its facility in Carthage where it will add new manufacturing. TopOPPS is a software company with plans to expand and create more than 35 jobs. ACCI Specialty Materials, a startup that manufactures chemical products for the aerospace and automotive industries, is planning to add 14 jobs at its facility in Harrisonville. And Pipkins, a software company based in Chesterfield, will add 10 good paying jobs to its community. Thank you to these companies who are investing in the state of Missouri. You sent me here to fight for you and to fight for more jobs with higher pay—and we’re going to continue to do everything we can to make sure that we put Missourians back to work."

TopOPPS is a predictive analytics solution for sales that uses artificial intelligence to bring clarity to the sales pipeline, alignment to the sales process and accuracy to the forecast.  TopOPPS helps customers increase win rates by more than 25% while reducing selling cycles and sales rep ramp time.

“TopOPPS is excited to announce our continued growth in the Great State of Missouri. We will be adding a minimum of 35 jobs in the St. Louis area," said CFO of TopOPPS Ted Stann. "While increasing shareholder value is always our main goal, we want to continue to boost the startup and tech presence in Missouri. The more tech jobs we can bring and keep in Missouri, the stronger the economy long term. Given this, TopOPPS has been blessed with assistance from pro-entrepreneurial leadership from both the state and local leadership.”

The company joins an innovative community as St. Louis was ranked in the top five for the 2016 Best Large Cities to Start a Business by WalletHub. The city's startup and tech scene continues to expand as innovation hubs like Cortex Innovation Community and 39 North progress and create growth-friendly environments.

"TopOPPS and founder Jim Eberlin have been a big part of the City's downtown tech explosion. We have long recognized that today's startups are tomorrow's job creators, and TopOPPS is proving it. We are thrilled to see their growth and wish them continued success. The high-paying jobs they offer are contributing to the overall success and vitality of St. Louis," said St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay.

The local talent from universities was another driving factor for TopOPPS to start in St. Louis City. The company is also continually impressed with the amount of outside talent the city is able to attract.

Best Practices for B2B Sales - Quarterly Business Review

This blog focuses on the fourth part of the Sales Management Process, the quarterly business review[QBR].  These meetings are held at the beginning of each quarter and in lieu of the monthly sales strategy meeting discussed in the last blog.  These meetings are an integral part of the sales management cadence described by this blog series..  The QBR meetings are individual presentations by the sales rep.  Each rep is given 30 to 60 minutes to review their performance for the previous quarter and their game plan for the new quarter.  The previous quarter review should include a few opportunity postmortems of both close-won and close-lost opportunities.  The QBR meetings are usually done within the first two weeks of the new quarter and set the stage for hitting the current quarter goals.  ...

Best Practices For B2B Sales - Monthly Strategy Review
